Our lips are what frame our smile, just like a painting needs a great frame. Properly applied lip color brightens the smile and the face. No matter what shape lips you have, there are a myriad of ways to apply your lipstick, gloss, liner etc to bring out a sexy pout. The trick is the technique used when applying the liner and finding the correct shade that compliments your undertone and what you're wearing.
The liner trick:
Before lining, prepare the lips by applying some lip moisturizer or balm to condition them.
For those with thick/full lips who want to reduce their appearance is size, apply a liner that is of a darker shade than that of your natural lip color or chosen lip color to inner part of your natural lip line and smudge it gently with a lip brush. Shades will be dependent on your skin tone but as an example you can use dark - med brown.
For those with thin/fine lips, apply the liner just a bit over slightly taking it outside the lip line slightly smudge with your lip brush, to create an illusion of fullness.
*Lip liners are helpful in defining your lips, apply a liner that is a similar or the same shade as your lip color on your entire lip to make your lip color last longer.
Lip Gloss & Lip stick
Now that we're all lined up, it's time to apply the lip color. To create a more pouty, sexy look apply a bit of gold/bronze...silver even, light pink or peach lip color to the inner part of the and blend it gently into the color. What this does is brings a transition in the color which attracts light as well as eyes.
Tip : use a Q-tip to remove any excess lip color that may have gone over your lip line, the Q-tip allows you to go around the lip and ensure that the shape is perfect.
